Well the Jesus that does web design aha xD Love your videos man! keep em up vdunown May 8, 2011 at 4:04 PM Very interesting Mike. Im working on my first website for my portfolio (about a car). However, Im not sure if I can just copy all the content from the Volkswagen site? Do I have to mention I do not own this material? Conclusion: maybe you could do a video about Copyrights? Keep up the good work! mlwebco May 8, 2011 at 3:38 PM @vdunown If you’re designing a portfolio site of about a car (volkswagen), I would just make up your own content. Just use the Volkswagen site as a reference and use some photos from Google. At the bottom of your site, just say this website is for portfolio purposes. It should be fine as long as you’re not competing or selling anything that conflicts with their business. 😉 mlwebco May 8, 2011 at 3:16 PM @BigShedMedia Ha ha… too funny, glad you find my videos helpful. ;)… thanks for the positive feedback. I’m about to start a CIW Foundation Course,I was wondering on your opinion on whether is this seen as THE qualification to get into the web development/design/management career path? Thanks in advance 🙂 mlwebco May 8, 2011 at 9:59 AM @jonouk89 Hi, this type of qualification helps you, but really, getting into web design, landing a job in web design truly depends on your portfolio and what you can do. Certificates and things like that will help, but companies and people generally will look at your work and what you can do. That’s been the case for me. Best of luck!
