  • I also got the “setText”: is deprecated. not sure what I did wrong because i followed step by step.´╗┐

  • to fix te setText change
    cell.text = [… objectAtIndex:indexPath.row ];
    cell.textLabelt.text = […. objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];

    and the´╗┐ warging is fixed.

  • Tks so much, very helpful as usual -´╗┐ mainly the zooming. Otherwise, could you do a tutorial showing how to get this done in a Tabbar application?

  • This is absolutely among´╗┐ the best video tutorials on IOS programming… keep on the good work and thanks a lot!!!

  • could you somehow post´╗┐ a download of that project file?

  • i also had numerous problems with the detail view controller.
    these include:

    expected expression before ‘UILabel’

    bit-field ‘rowNumber’ width not an integer constant

    expected expression before ‘property’

    bit-field ‘rowNumber’ width not´╗┐ an integer constant

    bad property declaration

  • By adding this code just under the //Configure´╗┐ the cell. you can add arrows!
    cell.textLabel.text = [[contentArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] retain];
    [cell setAccessoryType:UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator];

    Ps. I just corrected the first line of the above code a little bit.
    On the second line of the code you actually have other options to choose, so you can select between
    UITableViewCellAccessoryDisclosureIndicator
    …Checkmark
    …DetailDisclosureButton
    …None

  • @GeekyLemon i have made another view so i dont have the appdelegate and it is on a view based application so´╗┐ i only have the secondview.h and secondview.m and secondview.xib do u know anyway i could make another table?

  • Love the tutorials BUT you need to slow down. I have two monitors and your video is on one. A 10 minute video takes me 30 mins because I have to keep starting and stopping and rewinding. Annoying. Im done watching your videos. ´╗┐

  • And how do´╗┐ you put a view controller instead of a message?

  • Good tutorial but u r too fast and the tutorial is´╗┐ plain coding ? Please explain about the project !

  • hi just want to say that i invest in a lot of books and videos to learned objective-c and Xcode and now it’s pointless because everything is changed i think it’s not good. the template are confusing it’s not the same as´╗┐ the books i purchase not cool

  • Could someone help me out with this: How would I code the TableView so that every option (in this example “one” “two” and “three”) all go into different .xib files? Either that or how can I create a completely different GUI for the different options?´╗┐

  • Hey man really great tutorials! I have a request´╗┐ for a tutorial showing how to combine a tabbed application with a tableview. so in the first tab there┬┤s just a regular view but in the second there┬┤s a tableview that enables you to go to different pages

    tnx in advance

  • I have Xcode 4.2.1 and Im having to use the Single view option since the navigation based is not available. when I go to the view controller.m and´╗┐ type tin the title of my project as you did, appdelegate is not an option.

    what do I do?

  • Scratch´╗┐ my last post… it would be awesome if you could redo this table view tutorial but with the most recent Xcode software čśÇ

  • I did everything like its in this vid… and no errors .. but i dont see a table view… no´╗┐ 1 2 3…. -.- this sux… čÖü

  • awesome tutorial
    ´╗┐

  • Any chance you could make a tutorial on how to make a simple´╗┐ to-do list app?

  • Hey could you please make a navigation app where when you go look at a view it loads a webpage´╗┐ instead of text. Have been looking on how to do this for about 2 months now I’m really desperate. Thanks!

  • Can u please make the same video with xcode 4.3? PLEASE!!!´╗┐
